Our Aesthetic Sense

Our aesthetic sense is that part of us that appreciates beauty, acknowledges it and is able to distinguish what is beautiful from what is not, this senses distinguishes human as what might be sweet and amazing to one person might be an eyesore to another. 

This senses n us strives for excellence in us, positively by helping us maintain an acceptable relationship with our environment, society, community, country and planet earth at large in our own little and possible way, thanks to today’s green evolution. My question today entails, WHAT IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH PEOPLE AND YOUR ENVIRONMENT AROUND YOU?

Many of us if not always but at a one point or the other appreciates beauty in Art- from music to carvings to paintings and a whole lot of art crafts and also in Nature- this cuts across every aspect of our living today to even as small as the earth worm beneath the surface of the earth or the plants that grow beneath the sea. Appreciating quietude and serenity, realizing the productivity man achieves in such an atmosphere.

Flowers manifest the beauty of creation from the Lilies of the field to the booming colour of the Rose, the Sun Flower as it follows the movement of the Sun, the fantastic carnations in their different colours, the aromatic fragrance of the Gardenia and Queen of the Night. We should not also fail to see the beauty in creatures, taking some minutes of our time to watch birds fly and perch on benches, tree branches sometimes we see squirrels run up trees or scuttle on the field and may even stop and stand on its feet with hands rubbing each other.

This sense in each and every one of us manifest in various different ways, places and forms be it in our homes, offices, language as I the way we talk, the way we see things. This sense, makes us seeks things to be in agreement with each other ranging through colours and structures which culminates in a sentiment of harmony, beauty and conformity to the ideal.

Also we should try our very best in recycling our old stuffs instead of just disposing them and when we dispose we should try and dispose it properly, adhere to instructions be cautious of the environment and society we live for one makes all and all starts with one. Each and every one has a role to play in this part of our lifestyle, in our friends, neighbours, elders, youths, kids, schools and wherever we find ourselves.

I endeavor each and every one of us to inculcate this sense within those around us for most people have no value or even a sense of appreciation to the environment they live the society the belong to and it obviously is not a good development within us as humans for we are the defenders of nature and life around us the way we treat hem determines their existence or extinction. Lastly let’s grow something beautiful around us like ornamental flowers, green lawns and if possible have a pet to nurture.
